Scheduling Conferences/Facilitator Program PDF Print E-mail
Once a petition has been filed and answered, you will receive notice from the court to appear before a Family Law Master In Chancery for a Scheduling Conference.   These conferences are generally held on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

At the conference, the Master will ask you or your attorney about the issues in dispute and will set the dates for other events that should take place prior to trial.  In some cases, you will be asked to meet with a facilitator, who is a volunteer attorney, to work out a temporary agreement regarding custody, visitation, support or other issues.

For more detailed information about the Scheduling Conference, click here for Understanding and Preparing for the Family Law Scheduling Conference.
