Parents with children in common will generally be ordered to attend a six (6) hour parent education program called the Family Law Orientation Workshop (F.L.O.W.). The purpose of this program is to help parents understand how children are affected by divorce and other family changes. The F.L.O.W. parent education seminar is held alternately on two (2) consecutive Tuesday evenings at the Circuit Courthouse in Annapolis. There is no cost for the seminar. All six hours of the seminar must be completed prior to starting mediation.
